Free School Meals
If you receive the following benefits you will be able to claim a meal for your children:
Child Tax Credit, provided they are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income (as assessed by Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC)) that does not exceed £16,190
income-based Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA)
income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
income-based and Contributions-based JSA and ESA on an equal basis
Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
Working Tax Credit run-on – paid for four weeks after the person stops qualifying for Working Tax Credit
Universal Credit – during the initial roll-out of the benefit.

Pupil Premium Grant
Did you know that the school receives a Pupil Premium payment for the year in which families are eligible for free school meals and automatically for the following five years? This year it is £1,300 per free school meal pupil. This additional funding will be invested in your child to help them achieve more at school.

Armed Service Personnel
Also, did you know that the school receives a Premium of £300 for children of Armed Service Personnel? Please let us know if your child can attract extra funding for the school.
