Computing

At Leverton Church of England Academy, we teach Computing using the Teach Computing scheme of work, which enables children to develop a broad range of digital skills. This comprehensive curriculum covers essential areas such as coding, design, and the use of spreadsheets, providing students with a strong foundation in digital literacy. Students also have the opportunity to work with micro:bits and Crumble Kits allowing them to explore coding in a hands-on and engaging way.

A significant aspect of our computing curriculum is the emphasis on online safety. We teach children how to navigate the digital world responsibly, understanding the importance of protecting their personal information and recognising safe online practices. This focus on online safety ensures that our students are well-equipped to use technology confidently and securely.

Take a look at our learning...

KS1 and Spreadsheets

Ash Class have enjoyed trying out the new microbits. The children enjoyed programming the micro bits to create a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors.

KS2 have enjoyed coding using crumble kits. They were able to make an electronic spinner for a game.
