The maths curriculum at Leverton Academy is taught daily for one hour and as part of cross-curricular themes when appropriate. The curriculum is based on a mastery based approach. The teachers begin teaching a mathematical skill or concept through using the concrete, pictorial and abstract (CPA) framework which is a highly effective approach to teaching that develops a deep and sustainable understanding of maths in our children. From there, the children are encouraged to answer a wide range of varied fluency and reasoning style questions to broaden and deepen their mathematical understanding; encouraging them to make links and connections to other areas of maths.

What a day! A fantastic day, full of ROCKSTARS and ROBOTS to relaunch our TTRockstars and Numbots app for our children at school - each child has their own login and username and can access the app on any device they have at home!
