Science
Science at Leverton Academy aims to give children a strong understanding of the world through open ended investigations. Scientific skills are revisited and embedded in each year group. The children are encouraged to understand and use each enquiry method: pattern seeking, observation, grouping and classifying, fair testing and research.
The children in Year 3 & 4 have been testing the viscosity of different liquids ensuring their investigations are fair.
Comparative and Fair Testing taking place in Year 5 & 6 - Investigating air resistance!
Year 5 & 6 created the solar system to help them to name and order the planets.
